“Gulliver’s Travels”

gullivers_travels

Gulliver. starts out as a mailroom manager who ends up having done it for the past eight years. You can tell from the beginning he is a ‘loser’ because he interviews this guy (if you could call it that) and then at the end the guy tells him someone else already hired him. Gulliver has this massive crush on this chick in his office and he just practically freezes everytime he sees her; I can definitely relate as anyone can I am sure with someone you admire so much. He gets replaced by the new hire and he tells Gulliver that he will never go anywhere because Gulliver doesn’t want to and basically have the go get. So he sets up to do it so that he can move up in the world. At first, he is depressed by this but as he is leaving he sees that his crush is still in her office. She sees him as he is walking out losing his nerve. Just as you think he is about to ask her out he takes some papers on her desk and says that is what he needed which happens to be a traveling writing application and she says how she never knew he was interested in writing and tells him to write something for her by the morning on the travels that he said he went on (he didn’t). However, Gulliver can’t come up with anything so he copies and pastes out of a few articles and plagiarizes it. She is so impressed she gives him a boat job that no one wants including her. Gulliver accepts even though he has no clue what he has got himself into. Somewhere along the way he loses his way and wakes up tied to the ground surround by little people. They put him and shackles and as he is in jail makes friends with a little person whom was put in jail because he was showing interest in the princess. Different little people try to take over and kidnap the princess and burn the king alive and Gulliver as big as he is saves the princess and the king. From then on he was a hero to them (even though he peed on the building that the king was in to put the fire out). Later was found found to be lying and was cast out. It has much more to the story so I highly recommend watching this flick if you like a little fantasy.
